Blooming spring completely ruled over the nature of Transcarpathia. However, not everywhere. In the mountainous part of the region, it’s quite cold, but it is warm in Berehovo: the color of trees and flowers fills with the aroma and beauty of the environment. How not to use this gift of nature?

On May 3rd, another workshop on creating spring arrangements from fresh flowers was held on the basis of the Berehovo Public Center “Everyone can help”, which was joined not only by children but also adults. A large selection of floral materials allowed the audience to realize various ideas of flower arrangements. The organizers offered so much variety: magnificent, pale pink sakura flowers, golden-yellow Japanise kerria flowers; lilac with many shades of pink, purple, and magenta; blue, with yellow elements, forget-me-not flowers; white-pink daisy flowers; fragile violets, etc.

Participants were impressed by the professional approach of the organizers to everyone: individual evaluation of each work with a detailed analysis of the creative idea, with well-deserved compliments and critical remarks. “Besides, the planned hour passed quickly, and those who wanted to create flower arrangements continued to join. The participants have already applied for the next such workshop encouraged by the success, ”said Leonid Pokrytiuk, a biologist and expert at the Institute of Ecological and Religious Studies.

The event was held in cooperation with the Institute of Ecological and Religious Studies – IERS (headed by Alexander Bokotey) and the German Nature Conservation Union (#NABU), project coordinator Ivan Tymofeiev.
