Every day our peace, our silence is guarded by the defenders of Ukraine, who for the second month have been courageously and bravely defending the territory of our state. They are protecting our sky, and our thoughts, prayers, and hearts are always with them.
Hospitable Transcarpathia has become a refuge for thousands of people who have been forced to flee their homes due to active hostilities. Today in the parish of the Ascension of the Lord in the village Mala Roztoka hosted a workshop for mothers and women who became internally displaced persons (IDPs) and came to our region with their children and grandchildren. The participants made traditional talismans with threads and yarns of patriotic colors, using satin ribbons, lace, and paper hearts, as an expression of sincere love and support for our defenders! The event was hosted by Ms. Natalia Stetso, Headmaster of Velykoroztytsia Primary School and a leading IRCEF expert.
The event was held within the framework of the project “Responsibility for the Creation and Women of the Carpathians”, implemented by the Interreligious and Civil Environmental Forum of Eastern Europe (IRCEF) in cooperation with environmental groups of the Churches and with the support of the Archdiocese Bamberg and Würzburg and Renovabis (Organization of Assistance to Eastern Europe from the Catholic Church in Germany).
