Children from Uzhhorod and Kharkiv studied the primroses of the Transcarpathian Regional Ecological center

Pupils of the Ecological center study the biology and ecology of spring ephemerides, which grow both in the Ecological center and in the forests of Uzhhorod district and in Daffodil Valley, every spring they join practical work on the landscaping of the Ecological center.

This spring is no exception, the arrival of which was not stopped by the sad events taking place in the country. It was symbolic that children from the extreme western and eastern regions of our country met in the west. The participants of the event heard interesting and informative information about the early spring flowers that grow at the stops of the ecological trail of the institution, consolidated their knowledge during the game, and solved the scanwords “Primroses”.

During the practical part, young nature lovers cleaned last year’s fallen leaves of the daffodils, which grows naturally in the unique Daffodil Valley in the Khust region, and the forerunners of spring at the stop “Primroses of Luhansk region”, whose bulbs were donated about 10 years ago to the youth of the Transcarpathian Ecological center by environmentalists of the Luhansk Ecological center.

An interesting surprise for the children was the search game “Exploring the flora of the ecological trail of the Transcarpathian Regional Ecological and Naturalistic Center for Youth “, during which the team, guided by the hint tasks, searched for “treasures” near the plants mentioned in the tasks. Working in teams allowed the children to get to know each other better and to spend time actively and usefully in the fresh air among the blossoming nature.

The event was held in cooperation with the Transcarpathian Regional Ecological and Naturalistic Center for Youth and the Interreligious and Environmental Civil Forum of Eastern Europe (IRCEF) under the project “Responsibility for the Creation and Women of the Carpathians”, implemented by IRCEF in cooperation with environmental groups of the Churches in partnership with the Archdiocese of Bamberg, the Diocese of Würzburg and Renovabis (Organization for Eastern European Aid from the Catholic Church in Germany).
