From the very beginning of this insidious war between Russia and Ukraine in Uzhhorod, people organized meals for refugees in the restaurant “Dolphin” (Gastronomic Battalion). Next to that, there is a children’s playroom which is used for children fleeing from that horror.
Volunteers work with children: teachers, artists, tutors, etc. They draw, sculpt, read, play, today we even danced.
Alla Samoilova, the IRCEF expert of pedagogical work, was working with children. She says “We draw the pictures for the soldiers who protect us, and will give the drawings to the soldiers.” And indeed, the children drew a number of beautiful pictures through which they want to show their feelings in these difficult times.
The event was held in cooperation with the Interreligious and Civil Environmental Forum of Eastern Europe (IRCEF) with the support of the German Conservation Union (NABU).
